Terms of service

Draft v1 · to be reviewed before public launch

The service

Payme is a personal finance tracker for Android that derives transaction records from bank and UPI SMS alerts on your own device. Payme is not a bank, is not a payment service, and cannot move money. Extracted data is informational and may contain errors; always verify against your bank statement before relying on it.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the owner or authorised user of the device and the accounts whose messages are processed. Using Payme on someone else's device without their permission is prohibited.

Acceptable use

  • No uploading messages that are not yours, and no bulk or automated scraping.
  • No attempting to extract other users' data or to circumvent rate limits.
  • No use of the service to build credit-scoring or lending products on SMS data.

Subscriptions and refunds

Paid plans are sold through Google Play and billed by Google; cancellation and refunds follow Google Play's policies. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Payme is not liable for decisions made in reliance on extracted data, or for missed or misparsed messages.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app or the account deletion page. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
